Objects of the Spiritualists’ Lyceum Union

1 To promote and advance the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism, which is understood to
recognise the following Principles

(1) The Fatherhood of God
(2) The Brotherhood of Man
(3) The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels
(4) The Continuous Existence of the Human Soul
(5) Personal Responsibility
(6) Compensation and Retribution for all the Good and Evil Deeds done on Earth
(7) Eternal progress open to every Human Soul

2 To promote the study and practice of Spiritualism as a science, a philosophy and a religion, and to
establish and foster Lyceums for this purpose

3 To stimulate in connection with the activities of Lyceums and of Spiritualist Churches, suitable
provision for the social, cultural and physical recreation of its members.

4 To encourage Spiritualist Churches to recognise their responsibility for the spiritual education and
welfare of children and young people, and their duty to establish Lyceums for the purpose of
discharging this responsibility.

5 To ensure that Lyceums recognise and fulfil their fundamental allegiance and loyalty to their parent
churches.

6 To secure that the training given in Lyceums shall be on sound progressive lines and such as to
promote a common loyalty to the Spiritualist movement as a whole.

7 To maintain the publication of the Lyceum Banner, the official organ of the Lyceum Union.
