Objects of the District Council

The objects of the district council shall be to further the objects of the Spiritualists' National Union within its area and in particular to promote the advancement and diffusion of the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism on the basis of the recognition of the Seven Principles The district council is the local administrative branch of the Union and performs such duties as may from time to time be delegated by the National Executive Committee.

Objects of the Church

i) The holding of religious services for public worship                ii) The advancement of the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism                iii) The training of all in the principles of the religion, religious philosophy                    and science of Spiritualism               iv) The Church accepts the following Seven Principles as set out in the                    Memorandum of Association

The Seven Principles

1. The Fatherhood of God 2. The Brotherhood of Man 3. The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of  Angels. 4. The continuous existence of the Human Soul 5. Personal Responsibility 6. Compensation and Retribution hereafter for all the good and evil deeds done on earth. 7. Eternal progress open to every human soul
